Chapter VII of X
We are not a vendor. We are a partner.
Plate loading A vendor sells you a tool and leaves you to figure out the rest. That model has never once worked for an archive of consequence.
We bring the technology, the operational know-how, and the accumulated judgment of doing this for a decade — the part that translates a vision of how you want to reach your audience into something real, at scale. That work is a partnership or it is nothing.
So we are paid like a partner. We take between 20% and 40%, depending on how much of the lift is ours. You keep the lion’s share.
Read that against the last chapter. YouTube takes 45% and owns the audience. Spotify takes what it takes and owns the relationship. Getty takes its cut and owns the client. The percentage was never the real cost — the real cost was what the percentage bought: permanent access to someone else’s audience, on someone else’s terms, in perpetuity.
Gatekeepers price on leverage. Partners price on contribution. Our share is tied to the work we actually do, which means our incentive is to make your business bigger, not to make you more dependent.
